Title: A reworked Yakuza.
Suggestion: Hello, it's me Bulce. Your old pal, well anyways I've been lurking on the discord servers and seeing how things are going and I've noticed that the Yakuza is in a particularly bad spot after the resignation of it's Oyabun, Aidan. During this time I was replaying Mafia II and I've come upon tons of great ideas to enhance the criminal faction.
1. Exponentially reducing the higher-ups team. It's simply pointless to have so many higher-up slots in a department that barely has lower downs. I would have the amount of higher-ups at a very small number like 5 or 6. Note that this amount can be increased if the department were to come active enough. The big plus sides to this take on a higher-ups team are: a smaller team of higher-ups is much easier to manage which means less active or inactive member really stick out as there are only a couple people to be compared to. This would make the spots more valuable as they are so limited, which, I hope would make it funner to play and in return increase the total activity of the higher-ups. It also plays perfectly into the RP of the department, having the higher-ups be "the family" or "the elite" of the organization.
2. Reworking the whole system of how the department acts: making higher-ups more important than just having a special gun and the ability boss around the lowers in a couple of situations. From my understanding the Yakuza is supposed to be a department of organized crime, which it currently isn't, aka any member is pretty much free to commit whatever crime they'd like to. I would make it so that the crimes need to be orchestrated and commanded by the higher-ups. In theory this would greatly increase the RP aspect. A situation would be a higher-up tells the lower Yakuza to organize a team of people to take on a bank raid and maybe another one to take on a store robbery at the same time to have greater success in both raids. This take has a infinitely potential then "alright let's go raid the bank and have team deathmatch with the PD until we die or escape."
3. All the money from the crimes committed would go towards the "central bank" of the Yakuza, which means that all the money would go up the ranks until it reaches the accountant who will then hold the money and redistribute it to the members. The amount you receive would be dependant on your rank, and maybe activity and how much you've contributed into the pool. This would give players a great initiative to join Yakuza in the hopes of moving up the ranks to get the increasingly bigger salary and status. The distribution of money would ideally take place every week or so. System that would stop corruption would be have to put in place, but that's for figuring out in the future.
Why it will be beneficial to the server: I feel like these changes would add tons of roleplay that's currently missing in the server. It would implement an new interesting system for the people to mess around with. I'm sure that these kind of changes would make Yakuza active for maybe the first time in it's history. In addition to that, it would be pretty easy to implement for the server as it doesn't need a lot of input or any at all from the developers, rather it could all be done externally: in the discord, in google docs, etc.
Note: If this were to be implemented then I'd be more than happy to take the position of Oyabun to help make these changes as I've got tons of ideas that would be fun to try out, but I understand if I weren't granted the spot, as the last time I played on this server was months ago. Despite that I have proven myself to be capable at leading departments in the past and I have a whole month of free time as of writing this so I wouldn't mind returning to the server to have some fun and ultimately improve the servers RP.

So what your saying is that major crimes are bad and are just team death matches so to fix this you should commit two major crimes at once? i don't understand how that makes it organized crime just sounds like more chaos to me. And the thing about the money going to the higher-ups is not going to improve anything. Why would somebody play as a yakuza lower-down if they get paid hardly anything when they could just play as their custom class and not have to split the cut with the higher-ups?
What I'm saying is that crime could be done better. The money system will be worthwhile for the lower-downs otherwise no one would play. It's just along with a rank change you'll also get the reward of extra cash every time payday is.
Based from the overall negative feedback and my opinion that what you have suggested just isn't needed or suited towards the style of the server.
